H.L. Excellent, excellent! This is incredibly powerful death metal with a perfect mixture of memorable melodies, wild blasting parts and majestic mid-tempo passages. Somehow timeless or old-school in the beste sense of the meaning. Killer-tracks like "On the wrong side of the wire", "Messina Ridge", "Escape across the ice" or the "The 11th hour" even remind me on the disbanded Bolt Thrower as the tracks spread the same magic. (Rank 7 in my best of 2017 list) Favorite track: On the Wrong Side of the Wire.

srasher They just can't make an even under-average album. This one sticks out. While some of the predecessors where slightly too one-dimenional, this one has it all. Blasts, groove, even some doomy elements. Perfect sound, great vocals as always. I love it. Favorite track: On the Wrong Side of the Wire.

Mikolaj is a real multi-talent in bass as well as guitar as well as vocals and "Darkside" Maciej's drumming is a well-calibrated 100th-of-seconds-clockwork. Not for nothing is Mgla considered as a standard for a lot of other blacker-than-black metal bands. I hope to see this band live once..... grote_smurf

I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days.
